BROOCH - Cross Motif from the Monastery Church of Rubik
Brooches – this aesthetic decorative element, will be realized with a combination of recycled pieces and embroidery technique. The pieces, depending on their thickness, will be placed in order to create one layer or two overlapping layers. To ensure that they are kept together they will be connected by hand sewing. In order to add an aesthetic feeling that aims towards the simple, the capture of the pieces will be done through the use of the metal premandera which will also make the connection with the place where it will be placed.
The dimensions of the slots will vary to create a variety between them. We have proposed tiles with different shapes, triangular, rectangular, square, and the dimensions that stand out are around: 5x4 cm, 5x5 cm, and 6x4 cm.
The primary motif that will be used in all the spires is the cross positioned in the upper part of the MOnastery Church of Rubik. This motif will be realized with the use of embroidery technique, giving thebrooch a deep religious and historical feeling and related to this church. To add to the feeling of natural beauty and variety of creations, other decorative motifs such as crosses, hearts, figurines (Christ and Mary) as well as embroidered flowers and beads will be used. These elements will be harmoniously integrated into the overall design of the towers.
To achieve a completely unique and detailed look, other decorative elements will be added. Ribbon and tassels will be used to help create the texture of the embroidery and add an attractive touch. Metal beads, (not plastic), will be integrated to add a sense of aesthetics and durability to the overall design of the studs.
In order to spread the religious message and to build a deep connection with the values of culture and tradition, the spires were created to be a souvenir element that is only related to the Monastery Church of Rubik.
